Purpose

Reduce and eliminate delays in production, and in workplaces. It is done by looking at how work flows through a workplace. This ‘work’ could be product, or information, or jobs such as maintenance jobs. You then look at where the delays are, and why they are there. You also identify other improvement opportunities, by identifying waste in the system.

You will use different tools and techniques to help you to achieve zero delays, and a smooth, consistent flow of work.
