Today’s markets and organisations are more complex than ever, and project management has emerged as a discipline with the potential to ensure that new ideas, products and services are successfully realised. This Occupational Certificate is aligned to two of the key global project management standards – the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and PRINCE2 – and provides project management best practices, tools and techniques.

MODULE 1: Introductory Studies for Project Managers
Introduces the learner to project management careers, the project management framework and processes, and business ethics as they apply to project managers.
MODULE 2: Project Integration Management
Allows learners to build an understanding of how to integrate the various project processes, namely initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
MODULE 3: Project Scope Management
Describes how to plan and define the project scope, create work breakdown structures, and validate and control project scope.
MODULE 4: Project Time Management
Explains the key principles of project time management, specifically estimation, scheduling and sequencing.
MODULE 5: Project Cost Management
Covers cost estimation, key budgeting concepts, and how to manage and control costs.
MODULE 6: Project Quality Management
Provides an understanding of the concepts, practices and techniques relating to planning, managing and controlling project quality.
MODULE 7: Project Human Resource Management
Describes human resource management with the project management context, including identifying the required resources, and acquiring, developing and managing the project team.
MODULE 8: Project Communications Management
Explains the critical function of stakeholder communications management, including planning, managing and controlling data, information and reporting.
MODULE 9: Project Risk Management
Explains the importance of identifying and mitigating risks, and how to conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk analyses.
MODULE 10: Project Procurement Management
Describes the project manager’s role in procurement, as well as key procurement management concepts and principles.
MODULE 11: Project Stakeholder Management
Covers how to identify the stakeholders in a project, and how to manage and control stakeholder engagements.
