Occupational Certificate – Production Operator

Purpose

Production Operators are at the heart of manufacturing operations. They are the people who keep machines running, quality on track, and production moving.
In this role, operators prepare and operate production equipment, monitor performance, identify problems, and take action to prevent waste, defects, and downtime. They work from instructions and drawings, assemble or process products, perform first-line maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement on the shopfloor.
This qualification prepares learners to understand how production systems work, how their roles fit into the value chain, and how to produce safely, efficiently, and responsibly while meeting quality, safety, and environmental standards.
