Getting people to change the way they’ve always done things is hard. Making continuous improvement part of a company’s culture is an excellent and cost-effective approach to tackling an organisation’s most difficult challenges.
Companies with a culture of improvement, give their employees a process for reporting and acting upon ideas to save money, improve processes, satisfy clients, and improve quality. What’s more, they provide systems and a structure for doing so and they recognise those who contribute to making the organisation a better one.
One such company is CTP. Understanding the importance of empowering their employees, they enrolled members of staff to complete the NQF Level 3 National Certificate in Production Technology. This qualification provides learners with the range of learning and skills required to be able to perform a series of activities to
- support manufacturing,
- engineering, and
- technology processes.
Learners will acquire a range of skills in the identification of production parameters in manufacturing, engineering, and technology industries, and basic strategies to achieve them.
ODI’s Pieter de Bruyn facilitated this learnership.
